We have several exciting opportunities on offer:

- Sponsored Cafe Manager

Any sponsored position includes rental costs, meals, classes, including special events, and a sponsorship allowance.

Admin Director -We are looking for an Admin Director to oversee and help run the centre. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.

Cafe Manager - This is a wonderful chance to live within a spiritual community and run the World Peace Cafe with Volunteer input. If there is experience with catering and/or with dealing with the public then that would be ideal, however the most important qualification is simply a willingness to learn as training can be provided

New Residents - If you wish to study and practice Kadampa Buddhism, whilst being part of an inspiring community dedicated to benefitting others, becoming a resident of Akshobya Centre may be something for you.

Residents are from all walks of life and all ages, and everyone volunteers some of their time to the daily running of the Centre. Being a resident of Akshobya Centre offers a perfect opportunity for personal and spiritual growth. You can enjoy the spiritual programmes at Akshobya centre, deepen your understanding of Buddadharma and be a part of our warm-hearted community.

Living at Akshobya Centre gives an ideal way of gathering merit, gaining some centre experience and being a part of our growing community

Nottingham is home to two universities and has a European feel with an abundance of street cafes, art galleries, theatres and several cinemas, including an independant cinema where you can catch more thought-provoking and contemplative films.
